Volcano Shape

  • Elevation: 3058 m

Nyamuagira is consisted of many layers of basaltic lava that has cooled into igneous rock. This is a stratovolcano. This means that it is a steep-sloped structure composed of layers of solidified ash, hardened lava, and rocks ejected from other eruptions. Nyamuagira is also home to many craters.
